Mercy has partnered with Sofi to offer our co-workers and their families a convenient way to reduce their outstanding federal and private student or Parent PLUS loan.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness

The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan after October 1, 2007, while working full-time for a qualifying employer.

University Discount Partners

Mercy’s University Partners offer tuition discounts and other savings to co-workers, some also offer discounts to co-worker spouses and/or dependents.

Mercy offers scholarships yearly to co-workers as well as dependents.

Frequently Asked Questions

All co-workers who regularly work at least 32 hours per pay period and maintain a .4 FTE or higher are eligible for a variety of benefits from day-one!

Mercy offers a well-rounded PTO plan to include time for holidays, vacation, short-term illness and personal days. Co-workers who work at least 48 hours per pay period accrue PTO and can use it as of the first pay period with supervisor approval. A co-worker’s PTO accrual may vary depending on their role and years of service with Mercy.

You are automatically enrolled in the My Retirement Program at 6% but you are able to change your contribution percentage at any time. To receive a match and service contribution, you must be hired before December 15 of the calendar year and work at the rate of 1,000 hours.

Tuition Reimbursement is offered for full-time and part-time benefit eligible co-workers employed with Mercy for at least 6 months and completing courses that are work related, in a field for potential Mercy employment opportunity and necessary for the completion of an accredited degree program.

Mercy knows that sometimes the unexpected can happen, which is why we offer Long-Term and Short-Term Disability plans to help provide income if you're ill or hurt and can't work. After 1 year of service for full-time co-workers, Mercy provides basic Long-Term Disability coverage at no cost to you!

If you're looking for a way to keep more money in your pocket, you may want to consider contributing to an FSA. Mercy offers two FSA plans: a health care FSA which allows you to pay for certain health care expenses and a dependent care FSA that allows you to pay for dependent care expenses – all tax-free!
