Getting Started

Application Process
  1. The Physician Recruiter will request a copy of your CV, if it has not already been provided
  2. Alternatively, you can expedite the recruitment process by applying now through the Careers Site – follow the instructions listed below to complete the application process: 
    • Select Apply Now
    • Create a career profile
    • Upload a resume (PDF recommended)
    • Complete the step by step application process
    • You will receive an email confirmation upon submission of your application
Application Status
  1. Select Returning Candidate Login
  2. Login using the Login Name/Email and Password that was created when you first applied
  3. Your dashboard will display all the positions you've applied to and the status of each application
Next Steps
  1. The Physician Recruiter will review your application, CV, and resume to determine next steps 
  2. The Physician Recruiter will contact you via email or phone to schedule an interview if you are selected to move forward in the interview process
  3. You will receive an email notifying you that we have continued our search or if the position has been filled if you are not selected to move forward in the interview process
Initial Interview
  1. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Physician Recruiter will conduct an initial phone screen interview
  2. The Medical Director / Practice Leader will conduct a potential phone screen or virtual interview with selected candidates 
Onsite Interview
  1. If selected to move forward in the interview process, travel arrangements are made for in-person interviews and onsite tours
    • A background check and references may be requested
  2. The Physician Recruiter will escort the candidate through the onsite process
Offer & Onboarding
  1. Once it has been decided that you're the right fit for the role, you'll be contacted by the Physician Recruiter, who will extend a verbal offer of employment that includes a potential start date, pay details and next steps
    • A background check is completed and your references are contacted
  2. If you haven't applied yet through the Careers Site, the Physician Recruiter will walk you through the steps on how to apply
  3. Upon acceptance, a Physician Employment Agreement (PEA) is requested from Mercy's Legal department and in approximately one business week, the PEA is sent to you via DocuSign. You'll have two weeks to sign and return the agreement. 
  4. After signing the PEA through DocuSign, the onboarding process begins. This process may include state credentialing requirements, if applicable.
