Quality & Safety Administrative Fellowship

Based at the system level, the Quality & Safety Administration Fellowship is a one-year position designed for postgraduate individuals interested in an executive career in health care and provides the opportunity for advanced learning in quality and patient safety. The fellow will work with leaders in both core and elective rotations, where they will enhance both their contextual and functional knowledge through department immersion. In addition, the fellow will also gain valuable experience through the active participation in and completion of projects across the organization. The position requires a strong ability to analyze health care data, proficiency with analytical tools, effective use of presentation software, and a commitment to providing compassionate care and exceptional service. 


The fellow will be given the opportunity to work with and gain professional experience in a variety of disciplines of their interest, including but not limited to:

Qualifications 


  • Graduate degree from an accredited master's-level program (MHA, MBA or equivalent) prior to the start of the fellowship*
  • Demonstrated experience using advanced Excel features and statistical methods
  • Outstanding communication skills with all levels of management and personnel (oral, written, and presentation)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups
  • Past experience in healthcare preferred

*Typically, a clinical degree such as an MD, RN, or other clinical discipline is not a common career background of our administrative fellows. However, we appreciate the diverse skills and work experience of these applicants so we welcome them if they have a strong interest in a career path committed to healthcare management.

*Formal offers can be made any time after October 1, 2021, however, applicants are not required to accept an offer until November 11, 2021.
