New Grads receive a 12-week orientation where you are paired with 1–2 nurse preceptors to learn a variety of units and nursing styles. Your progressive orientation works up gradually to your 4-5 patient load with frequent 1:1 check in’s with your nursing leader.

Our new grad nurse orientation program strives to build competence and confidence in your new role at Mercy. As a new grad nurse you will participate in a minimum of a 12 week orientation within your unit. We will partner you with a nurse preceptor and Clinical Nurse Specialist for individual support and weekly check-ins.

Mercy's unique Fellowship Program allows you to expand your critical thinking, develop confidence in your communication skills, and become a competent professional nurse in a chosen specialty.
